Christmas Junior Bake Off

The Great Roath Junior Xmas Bake Off

On Saturday 15th of November as part of The Wellfield Road Winter Festival we rain a Junior Bake Off at St Andrews Church Hall. As always the standard was exceptional and there were over 20 entries. We are always amazed at the quality and creativity that goes into the cakes at The Junior Bake Off.

The Bake Offs Elaine & Sandra started taking entries from 11am and they kept arriving up until judging started at 2:30pm. Our judges had a hard task ahead to find a worthy winner because all entries were of a high standard.

The rest of Team Bake Off were busy selling cakes on our charity Cake Sale Stall which done really well and a massive thanks must go to all the kind people that baked cakes for us to sell.

By 4:30 we had our winners and prizes were given and our only regret was we couldn't give a prize to every entry. Part of the winning prize was to invite the winner to help turn on the Christmas lights on Wellfield Rd.

Thousands of people had turned up to watch the Christmas Lights get turned on and our winners took to the stage accompanied by the Lord Mayor for the BIG switch on.

We must give a massive thanks to St Andrews Church especially Jill and Des for their kindness and help with The Bake Off. Our wonderful sponsors CPS Homes for continuing to support us. Ocean Hairdressers, Juno Lounge & The Royal George Pub for supplying prizes and support. A huge thank you to The Wellfield Rd Traders for putting on a great day, your hard work certainly paid off. A big thank you to the greatest team of volunteers EVER Team Bake Off Rocks!!!! Our fabulous Judges too!
And last but not least....
The amazingly talented junior bakers that took part! Well done!
